Event Description:
This meeting is designed for networking, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your business or organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker or round table discussion in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
Our special guest speaker for December is Justin Hayes, Area Director for Young Life, sharing about discipleship in your life's work/ministry & being a mentor to the next generation.
As the Area Director in Clark County, Justin reaches out to 9 High schools and 15 Middle schools to share the Gospel. Young Life was established in Texas in the 1940's and is an international organization with over 3 thousand staff around the World. They do their work through building relationships with students, "winning the right to be heard" and taking them on adventures at camps to help them be open to the Gospel.
Justin has worked for Young Life for the last 6 years in Salem, OR. He has also worked as a Youth Pastor at West Salem Foursquare church. Before that he served in the Army for four years leaving as a Captain. Justin was a Tank and then Logistics officer and served in Iraq in 2003. Justin has been married to his wife Kristin for 11 years and they have 3 children Madison, a 7 year old, Lilli 5 year old, and a son Brady who is 9 months.
