Event Description:
Join us for our next Strategic Collaborative Prayerwalk for the Grand Opening of the Tilikum Crossing, Portland's newest bridge in 42 years. We will gather for worship & prayer at 10am at Waterfront Foursquare Church (located at 0640 SW Bancroft St, Portland, OR 97239 & parking is available on the street and next door at Entercom Radio). After prayer, we will prayerwalk to the new Bridge, cross over and then come back for reports & more prayer.
Our very first Strategic Collaborative Prayerwalk was in 1999, from Mt Tabor to the Grand Re-Opening of the historic Hawthorne Bridge. That same year Serving Our Neighbors (SON) was launched by leading Pastors & Marketplace Leaders, including Vic Anfuso & James Autry. Portland's newest bridge in this generation represents what God is doing in His Church today, building Community, Collaboration & Convergence. The purpose of this prayerwalk is to dedicate (make Holy), celebrate (give Thanks) and declare (Prophesy) what God has, is & will do in our city through us serving our neighbors, together, As One!
At our Strategic Prayer Gatherings in May, June & August, we have been Agreeing with what God has for our Region and believe that the prayer walking principles Henry Gruver taught us on Wed, July 22nd & Thur, July 23rd are critical to seeing transformation in our communities. We experienced miracles & God's presence at our last Strategic Collaborative Prayerwalk, "Invading the Gates of Hell" on Wed, July 29th in partnership with several different churches, including Father's House City Ministries with Steve Trujillo.
