What can the Small Business Development Center at the Chemeketa Center for Business & Industry do for you? (Listen)

Our special guest speaker for April is Marcia Bagnall, Director of the Small Business Development Center at the Chemeketa Center for Business & Industry. Over the past six years she has been involved with the Microenterprise, Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship programs there. The SBDC works to strengthen businesses through business advising, classes, workshops and programs. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and another in Education. In addition to her work at the SBDC she is also the owner of a small winery in Newberg called Bryce Vineyard. She has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations over the years; her most recent involvement is as Treasurer of the ALS Association of Oregon and Southwest Washington.
This meeting is designed for networking, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your business or organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker or round table discussion in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
We are meeting at the Broadway Commons, 3rd Floor-Africa Room, located at 1300 Broadway NE, Salem, OR 97301.
Current Members (New & Renewals under the new Membership Plan, effective September 1, 2010) must RSVP so that they are not asked to make an additional donation at the door. These Members may also invite Guests, wherein the Suggested Donation for their Guest is $5 per person.
