Our special guest speaker for March is Anna Scharf of SEDCOR (Strategic Economic Development Corportation).
She will be presenting on SEDCOR and the free and/low cost resources and assistance they can provide to businesses, including an overview of their history, geographic region, members and Partners that SEDCOR has and the helpful services the member and Partners can provide, especially to small businesses. The presentation will include the fascinating history of how SEDCOR was created, funded, and where and how it operates, and also helpful handouts and materials, and a Q & A. SEDCOR is here to help businesses.
We will also have a brief additional presentation provided by a non-profit ministry, Easter Seals of Oregon, specifically on their program of working with folks to prepare them with jobskills and training to enter the work force.
This meeting is designed for networking, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your business or organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as these special guest speakers in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
We are meeting at the Broadway Commons, Room 205, located at 1300 Broadway NE, Salem, OR 97301.
Current Members (New & Renewals under the new Membership Plan, effective September 1, 2010) must RSVP so that they are not asked to make an additional donation at the door. These Members may also invite Guests, wherein the Suggested Donation for their Guest is $5 per person.
