Releasing Your Anointing in the Marketplace with Al Houghton
Through an unusual series of events, 25% of my schedule for the year was erased, transferred or postponed. During this 3 months off, God intervened to demonstrate His intent for the Marketplace. As a prophetic voice, I was asked to speak for one hour in the boardroom of a near bankrupt business close to home about The Judicial Christ. Korean investors were present who were also Christian. They asked for a break to go out and weep as the convicting presence of God increased. The next day that business had a contract to sell all the ethanol they could produce to Exxon South Korea and the money to build a plant in Mississippi. As we allow the Holy Spirit to identify what we carry, He opens the door to advance the Kingdom.
Jesus died for an Anointing to spoil that is blood bought and accessible at an appointed time. The appointed time for individual contributions to Kingdom Advancement in finances is here. We intend to uncover those contributions and merge them with the Judicial Anointing for discovering God’s path to breakthrough. God rearranged my life to move me toward fulfilling His purpose. I expect equally dramatic results for those who those who are led to attend! God is leading us into some exciting dimensions of walking in the spirit-Come Lord Jesus!
Al Houghton of Word At Work Ministries is a teaching ministry dedicated to equipping the church through supplying the meat of His Word. Although the meetings are open to everyone (there is no child care), this training is especially designed for business people, those in the marketplace.
Al grew up in a small town in Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors Degree and afterwards joined the Navy as a pilot. After flying one hundred and sixty-one combat reconnaissance missions during the Vietnam War, he left the military to fly commercially. God dramatically intervened however, and called him into ministry.
Al’s current assignment is elevating the church into their kingly priesthood as “agents of justice.” Many free nations stand at the crossroads of judgment or salvation, based on choices made. By invoking the covenant of “Sure Mercy,” the church can impact those choices. Only a vibrant church who knows their covenant can confront political leaders in the power of the Spirit. Saving the nation means awakening the church to the power of their covenantal roots!
In 1975, he moved to Southern California to attend seminary and earned a Master of Divinity Degree in theology. Immediately upon graduation, the Lord instructed him to start a teaching ministry and live by faith. Al and his wife Jayne have three children, Jonathan – a husband and father of two, Julie - who works in the ministry and Michael – who is a fireman. 1984-’87 marked a transition as God added a prophetic touch to the teaching ministry. Doors opened in other nations and Al began to minister at International Leadership Conferences.
A daily Bible study, entitled the “Word At Work,” was begun in 1981 and over two decades of daily Bible studies can be accessed at wordatwork.org. Prophetic teachings are available as audio series and can be ordered or downloaded from his online store. Al has four books currently in print: Sure Mercies of David, Purifying The Altar, Marked Men & Converts Or Disciples, which are available in print or as E-books.
