Portland Eastside Meeting
Our special guest speakers for May will be three Chaplains that work with Adventist Health:
Steve Rude – Director Chaplain Services obtained his Masters of Divinity at Andrews University Seminary in 1980. He spent 5 years in pastoral ministry in Indiana followed by twenty years in Ohio and completed a year of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training at the Cleveland Clinic in 2006. He has served on the pastoral care staff at Adventist Medical Center as a chaplain since September 2006 and became Director in November 2011. Steve is married to Joanne and they have four children and seven grandchildren.
Leo Zakhariya - Chaplain, pastored a Seventh-day Adventist church in Russia for 10 years and immigrated to the USA in May 2002. He received his Clinical Pastoral Education training at the Oregon State Hospital to become a professional chaplain, worked at Oregon State Hospital for more than 2 years and then joined Adventist Medical Center full time as a staff chaplain in May 2011. Leo is married to Nataliya and they have three children.
Pam Proudfit - Chaplain was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies. She graduated from Andrews University with a BS in Nutrition and a Master of Divinity from Andrews Theological Seminary. She pastored the Sandusky SDA Church in Ohio but felt God calling her to ministry as a chaplain, wherein she received her Clinical Pastoral Education training in New York City and has been on staff at AMC for 6 years. Pam is married to Roy.
This meeting is designed to help you build your network, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
