Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood is a special 10-hour program designed specifically for fathers-whether single or married. The purpose is to help men to become better fathers, relationship partners, and family men. Women are encouraged to attend.
Some of the major issues facing fathers today that will be included in this program are:
- Building responsible fatherhood
- Building healthy relationships
- Building successful parenting skills
- Increasing your value in the workforce
- Increasing your skills towards financial stability
The Northwest Marriage Institute is nationally recognized as a premier community service provider.
Materials presented are always fresh, applicable, and successfully applied. Lots of humor will make the time fly by. You'll leave saying, "I sure wish this workshop was longer."
What's in it for me?
Evidence based materials, meaning that these materials have already been tested and proven effective in helping fathers become better fathers, couples become better partners, and single fathers become better partner in a future relationships. You will also be a part of a national movement designed to help increase the abilities and values of fathers in America's families. Special presenters will include Mr. Rick Johnson, nationally known speaker on fatherhood issues, and Dr. Bob Whiddon, Jr., who will facilitate the Healthy Relationships and Healthy Parenting (Parenting with Love & Logic®) portion of the workshop.
Responsible Fatherhood Topics will include:
- The Power of a Father
- The Top 10 Mistakes ALL Dads Make
- Character Traits of Noble Men
- Fathers as Role Models and Mentors
- Loving Your Child's Mother (for the sake of your child)
- Leaving a Beautiful Legacy for your Children
Healthy Relationships Topics will include:
- What does a Healthy Relationship Look Like?
- The Seven Stages of a Healthy Relationship
- Healthy Communication and Conflict Resolution
- Parenting with Love & Logic®
This program will include an introduction to the highly successful Parenting with Love & Logic® curriculum. Though only two hours of the six-hour curriculum will be presented as part of the Pathways program, the remainder will be presented to our program participants, at no cost, at a later date.
