During Mission ConneXion, people of all ages participate in a variety of missions-related experiences & dozens of missions agencies host exhibits providing information about work being done -- and needing to be done -- in countries around the world;
Keynote addresses include world-class speakers: Carl Medearis, Roberta King, Rod Davis & Rick McKinley
Workshops offer a wide variety of topics ranging from visionary and inspirational to very practical.
Join us for Pre-Conference Prayer on Thursday, January 16th! God answers prayer and we would love for you to join us for a gathering right before the conference begins. We will gathering in the Chapel at Crossroads Community Church.

Join us for Leadership ConneXion with Carl Medearis on Friday, January 17th!
Carl, his wife Chris, and three kids lived in Beirut, Lebanon for 12 years. Through their unique and strategic approach around the Arab world, they encouraged university students, business professionals and political leaders to live their lives by the principles and teachings of Jesus in order to change their societies and nations.
Today Carl spends much of his time working with leaders both in the West and in the Arab world with the hope of seeing the Arab Middle East and the West experience full and fruitful relationships through the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Few leaders are as well-connected with Arab leaders throughout the Muslim world as Carl. He is the author of the acclaimed book on these issues, Muslims, Christians and Jesus, and his latest, Speaking of Jesus, the Art of Not Evangelism demonstrate well, how he acts as a catalyst for a number of movements in the Middle East to promote peace-making and to promote cultural , political, and religious dialog leading toward reconciliation.
At Leadership ConneXion, Carl will gives us his unique bird's eye view of the Middle East today, who the players are and what the implications are for us in the West. The second part of the day will be his perspective on making Jesus relevant to you, your church, missions, and Muslims, right here at home. Register Today!

New this year is Student ConneXion: Connecting students with the Mission Field TODAY!
Student ConneXion is a call that will capture the imagination and the heart of the student who may love the Lord and go to church, but who may have never been challenged to give his or her life for a CAUSE that is GREATER than anything that teen may have ever considered. Student ConneXion is NOT a youth event that has catchy speakers, exciting bands, and baseless emotional appeals. INSTEAD Student ConneXion sponsors summit events, which challenge students to live an Acts 1:8 lifestyle through the following three-pronged approach:
1. DISCUSS the spiritual needs of the world around us (Romans 3:23).
2. EDUCATE students in how God uses missions to meet these spiritual needs (Acts 13-28)
3. CONNECT students to the countless ways/opportunities in which they can actively participate in the mission field today (Matthew 28:16-20). Register Today!

Bill MacLeod, Executive Director of Mission ConneXion believes that MC gives voice to many voices, or proclaimers of the Good News. Why is it important that we hear these voices? Because, we too have a need – all of us – to come face to face with a God Who is Outside of our little world; Who Speaks in a Voice and with an Authority that compels us to pay closer attention, to His Call upon our lives; and who we need to follow in Obedience and Joy. If we do that, together, our Voices will go out, as One: “to all people by all means…
Again this year, over 125 workshop sessions will provide voices – some of them new this year – enlightening us on topics like:
- Students on Mission - helping students connect with mission
- Buddhism – a powerful look into the Buddhist world, and its influence here
- Mobilizing Your Church – how one mega-church has rallied its entire congregation for service cross-culturally here and abroad
- Northwest Missions History – how what God has [already] done here in the Northwest shapes our worldview today
- View a new film, “Not Today” – and see how you can make a difference for the Dalits of India
In addition, we’ll be seeing and hearing from a number of unusual artists and advocates like:
- Dilip Joseph, a medical doctor taken captive by the Taliban in Afghanistan
- Anneli Anderson, who is spreading the gospel through visual art
- Vic Murphy, a BMX evangelist who proclaims Christ on two wheels

And as we all know, 'with great power come great responsibility.' My vision, our vision, for KKPZ is to be a powerful voice for the faith community of Portland. We want to focus on and highlight what churches, ministries, and people are doing in our communities to make a difference. We feel it is our responsibility to encourage our listeners to be active in their faith. Loving. Serving. Giving. We look forward to partnering with churches, ministries, business and leaders like you who share this same goal. We also look forward to meeting, speaking and partnering with YOU."
