Name: Mid-Willamette Valley Networking
Date: February 10, 2011
Time: 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM PST
Registration: Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description:
This meeting is designed for networking, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your business or organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting.  There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker or round table discussion in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.

Our special guest speaker for February will be Mike Unrein of Mackey, Porth & Unrein. Mike holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Education from Oregon State University. Before partnering with Mackey and Porth, he worked for Moss Adams CPAs as well as Price Waterhouse.

While Mike jokes that he pursed accounting because being 6’4” did not automatically qualify him for the NBA, he found that he truly enjoys working with clients and solving their accounting problems. His areas of expertise include general taxes and business consulting.

Mike is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member and past president of Salem’s LeTip, a business referral group. He serves as a board member and as vice-president with the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. He is also a youth basketball coach.

An Oregon native, Mike has been married to his wife Katy for 22 years. They have 3 boys: Jacob, Jonathan, and Jeffrey. When he isn’t following his teenagers around to their events, he’s golfing or working on his year-round commitment to the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest.
