For the past 30 years, I have asked Christians all over the world this one question, “How many people do you know, including yourselves, who are living the more abundant life that Jesus promised us in John 10:10?”
The answer from all these people has always been the same: “very few.”
You have served God in your local church, you have attended Bible studies, you have learned and tried to apply many promises to your life. Many believers are deceived in thinking that the more abundant life is the American dream. My life is comfortable. Marriage is good, kids are good, they go to a Christian school, and we attend a Bible-teaching church and I have a good job. We are active in the community.
You made a decision for Jesus a long time ago, but you still don’t know Him as He promised you could, let alone how the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit is supposed to work in your day-to-day life.
The good news, no, great news, is it’s not too late...it’s never too late...the promised More Abundant Life is just one decision away.
So, what is this more abundant life that I’ve been talking about?
It’s a life of continual joy, abounding grace and peaceful contentment established on a foundation of total commitment and total trust. It’s a life where Jesus is exalted, where self is denied and where the follower of Christ is being used strategically by the Holy Spirit to advance the Kingdom of God by sacrificially serving others with unconditional love through the destiny the Father planted in our hearts.
There truly is a more abundant life, an amazing life, which is exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ever ask or think. A life of high adventure in the Spirit.

Don Nava is a Kingdom Coach. The Holy Spirit has gifted Don with a strong grace of discernment and wisdom which he uses under the direction of the Holy Spirit to provide “inner healing” freedom to those he coaches. Coach Nava follows Jesus’ example in demonstrating the Isaiah 61:1 mandate of ‘healing the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
In January 2018, the Holy Spirit prompted Don to start the School of Kingdom Coaching, with the purpose of training men and women to be used by the Holy Spirit as powerful catalysts for bringing freedom and transformation to the lives of people.
Don’s life purpose statement is “to be a man after God’s own heart, living wisely and passionately doing His will.” He has walked with Jesus for 45 years and during this extended time of discipleship, the Holy Spirit has taught and shown Don many key kingdom principles and how to apply them to individuals, couples and organizations. Don started his coaching career 35 years ago in Silicon Valley, as the fitness coach to venture capitalists as well as executives at Cisco Systems, Silicon Graphics, ATT and NIKE.
Don also coaches executives on how to be highly effective leaders by modeling and tapping into the power of Servant Leadership. He works with companies that are headed by Christian leaders that want to establish their organizations on a kingdom platform and as a result become Kingdom Capitalists.
Don is the author of the book Fit After 40, a literary embodiment of how to live The Totally Fit Life, which was published by Thomas Nelson. Coach Nava currently lives in northern California with his wife Becky. They have been married for 37 years. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.
