Event Description:
The World is Coming to Portland, more than 700 Athletes from 200 Nations!

Serving Our Neighbors is coordinating a campaign to see people of Faith, volunteer & let God touch the Nations that are coming HERE through their service.

Volunteers (15 years old +) are needed (individuals & in groups) in these areas. SIGN UP (by Sat, Feb 20th) & at the latest by Tue, March 1st (but they'll take volunteers up to the day before).
Accommodation: Looking for enthusiastic volunteers with a helpful personality. Be the first to welcome the teams and athletes to TTUSA! Volunteers should be friendly, patient, and have great people skills.
Accreditation: Help provide credentials, apparel and support to athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and other workforce personnel. Many of these shifts will take place prior to the competition days.
Anti-Doping Escort: Assist United States Anti-Doping Agency in escorting athletes to medical testing area. To join this team, a volunteer must be extremely professional, take direction well, and be at least 18 years old.
Arrivals & Departures: Help welcome athletes upon arrival to airports. These volunteers must be friendly and welcoming as they will be the first people that the athletes will see.
Athlete Hospitality: Provide support, information and hospitality to athletes, coaches and team personnel. Volunteers must be knowledgeable about track & field.
Community Programs: Volunteers will be working with children, family, and fans in programs and activities put on during the meet. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers that want to help grow the Track & Field family and fan base!
Hospitality & Catering: Provide hospitality to coaches, team personnel, workforce and VIP members each day of competition. This team will also maintain the space, beverage supply, and provide general event information for every individual!
Language Services: Assist Athletes and international guests by providing basic translation when needed. These volunteers will perform volunteer roles in areas such as hospitality or athlete services, which have the greatest need for translation
Look & Feel: Responsible for setting up the venue prior to competition, maintaining the look of the stadium during the event, and taking down signage and equipment after competition. Help create the venue and put the first ever track event inside the convention center!
Meet Operations: Volunteer opportunities in this area range from on field to behind the scenes support such as basket crew and the protest table. These are unique jobs that interact with various avenues of the entire championship meet
Special Events: Help assist in special activities, events, and ceremonies that focus on unique different areas of the event
Spectator Services: Help in areas such as ushering, venue greeting, and info desks. All of these areas will involve interaction with fans and providing them with information. Help create the best environment for the spectators to enjoy the event and cheer on the athletes of the world!
Sustainability: Be a part of “The Green Team!” As an award-winning sustainability promoter, TrackTown USA is always investigating more efficient ways to be green. Help us reach for the next level by guiding attendees on how to use the onsite trash, recycling and compost options. Green Team volunteers take a hands-on role in educating spectators on how to be sustainable and promoting environmentally-friendly habits. We encourage volunteers with a passion for sustainability and waste management to join this team.
Transportation: Jobs may include Load Zone Attendants, assisting with luggage, and being a driver for spectators, athletes, and VIP guests. Drivers will need to be comfortable with the local area. Volunteers should be very vocal, Customer Service focused, energetic.
Volunteer Hospitality & Utility Pool: This diverse group may include volunteer hospitality or being part of the volunteer pool. In either case, you will help check in volunteers each day, provide information to them, and fill in at any other volunteer areas that may need assistance.

In preparation for this life-changing event, you can join us to PrayerWalk downtown Portland every Saturday morning at 7AM.
We meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square (next to the Umbrella Man), go as the Holy Spirit leads and then we will BUY YOU breakfast!!!!
You can also participate in one of our City Transformation Teams (starting at Smith Memorial Hall - Portland State University every Wednesday at 7pm), facilitated by Father's House City Ministries. City Transformation Teams are a strategy to impact the city with the transformational power of the Kingdom of God and bring to people and the city. This is a multi-team, multi-ministry, multi-church effort to bring the light of God into the darkness and release life and reformation.
