Event Description:
Bethesda Church is hosting an Equipped to Love Workshop to equip and train leaders on ministering to those struggling with sexual identity.
Ken and Tiffany Williams, partnered with Elizabeth Woning, will be leading the workshop for pastors and leaders targeting effective ministry to the LGBTQ community. They have a passion to equip leaders in the following:
- Loving men and women right where they are, no matter the circumstances
- Revealing a God-centered path to wholeness
- Creating safe spaces to foster the transformation that comes through vulnerability with Jesus

Ken Williams began a pursuit of his true sexual identity in 1987 when his battle against homosexuality grew into intentions of suicide. During the following years, Ken gave himself to desperate prayer, counseling, and research. Eventually, Ken began to experience God's involvement in his journey and received healing from trauma, forged deep intimacy with God, and established masculine identity. Today, Ken helps others find genuine identity and pursue resolution of same sex attraction. He is a co-founder of Equipped to Love, and serves Moral Revolution full-time as an author, lecturer, and minister.
In her early 20s, Elizabeth Woning "came out" as a lesbian and embraced the LGTBQ community. She attended a Presbyterian (USA) seminary openly lesbian and did ministry within the LGTBQ community. Over time, her faith led her to question her sexuality as a lesbian, which ultimately led to a change in her sexual experience. Today Elizabeth no longer experiences same sex attraction and is married to her husband, Doug of 13 years. She teaches at the Bethel School of Ministry and is co-founder of Equipped to Love and CHANGED, which focus on sexual identity and life after LGBTQIA+.
