Event Description:
Our special guest speaker for December is Paul Watson, Director for Cityteam International’s recovery center in Portland, will outline his agency’s innovative outreach efforts and how they are applicable to local businesses and ministries. Watson split his childhood between Hong Kong, Malaysia, India and Singapore while his parents planted churches as career missionaries for the Southern Baptist Convention. Watson earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature at the University of North Texas and minored in business administration.
In 2007, through Cityteam, Watson started training and coaching church planters and church planting organizations worldwide. In 2010, he traveled 75,000 miles and trained people in the UK, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lebanon, Egypt, Germany, and in many states in the USA. In 2011, Paul traveled 85,000 miles. Watson last year moved to Portland to take his current position. Cityteam Portland provides 72,000 meals a year. It helps, on average, 84 people per night, 365 days per year, to receive a shower, clean clothing and a safe place to sleep. Watson and his team seek to meet the physical needs of the homeless, addicted and alcoholic while seeking to catalyze disciple-making movements in the Northwest. Watson and his wife, Christi, have three children and live in Beaverton.

We will be meeting at the Old Spaghetti Factory, 730 SE 160th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98684
Date/Time Information:
Check in starts at 11:30am, followed by connecting until 11:45am, wherein lunch is served at 12noon. Then after a short presentation about the Christian Chamber, we will feature one of our Non-Profit Organizations from 12:15pm-12:30pm and then our special guest speaker from 12:30pm-1:15pm, ending with a few announcements and connecting until you need to leave.

Fees/Admission:
The RSVP meal charge is $15 for Guests, Expired Members. The Non-RSVP meal charge is $20 at the Door. Members must RSVP in order to register at no charge. Members may also invite Guests, wherein if they RSVP, the meal charge is only $15 per person. If they do not RSVP for their Guest, the meal charge for their Guest is $20 per person.
