Name: Christian Chamber - Vancouver "Lunch & Learn"
Date: September 19, 2013
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM PDT
Registration: Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description:

The Power of Being Right-Minded - Leaders succeed or fail by a measure of 6 inches. It's true. That 6 inches between our ears has the power to propel us forward or pin us to our past. As Christ Followers we are a supernatural conduit for solutions, innovation and revelation knowledge that can flow freely or be restrained like a stagnant pool. This is not new information.  So what's the hold up? What stops the flow? We know intellectually but somewhere between head and heart what we know got stuck. How do we get unstuck? How do we get right-minded?

The answer is crazy simple.  That is why we miss it.  If you are ready to shift the balance from status quo and upgrade, join us!  We are going to talk about . . .

  • Questions that decode and dispel the power of your past.
  • A proven self coaching model that will send out the alert when you get derailed.
  • Practices that free up provision and align your business & ministry
If you are tired of striving and ready to go after those Ephesian 3:20 promises while maintaining your peace - you can. These keys are a game changer. Plan to leave with insights that equip you to overcome obstacles, apply your upgraded thinking and open the door to greater opportunities.

Our special guest speaker for September is Kathie Nelson with Get Monetized Now.  Kathie is a serial entrepreneur, certified management consultant™ and born powerhouse in business growth. A three time author, sought after speaker, top tier business strategist, and coach, she recently "outed" herself publicly as a Christ-Follower with an editorial titled, "Why I Don't Do Business With Christians", published in Christian News Northwest. Long overdue the act of declaration put her on a path of viewing all her training and relationships through a fresh lens.   Despite having been served up more than her share of life’s lemons more than three decades, Kathie has become adept at making lemonade out of any situation. Known for her powerful questions, commonsensical practicality and guerrilla style results along with a proven track record, Kathie modeled a company in 2002 based on her strengths that became a sought-after resource for business growth strategies and executive leadership.

Our Featured Sponsor is  . . .

CityServe is a movement to unite and mobilize churches, businesses, organizations, and city leaders to love and serve their city.  In 2008, the Luis Palau Association partnered with leaders in the faith, civic, and business communities to work for the common good in Portland, Oregon. More than 27,000 volunteers from all sectors of society worked to meet some of the Portland’s most vital needs during this very first “Season of Service.” Now, the initiative has become a long-term vision for city transformation.

Today we stand as the church of Portland united under our Lord Jesus Christ.  We seek to serve our city by loving our neighbor, doing justice, showing mercy and proclaiming the Gospel. We desire to see the church reproduced through planting churches, training pastors, equipping disciples and sending the church into new places in our city for the glory of Christ.
CityServe Portland encourages, equips, and empowers the Body of Christ to love and serve their city through united, long-term efforts focused on the greatest needs.  Specifically, CityServe Portland is working to help connect local churches and individual Christians all over the metro area to seven focus areas where they can serve our city in a way that will make lasting impact on our community:
·
School Partnerships
·         Foster Care
·         Homelessness
·         Hunger & Poverty
·         Street & Gang Violence
·         Health & Wellness
·         Human Trafficking

The School Partnership Network (SPN), founded in March 2012, has become an integral, and most visible, part of this citywide effort.  Helping to connect the 29 school districts in the metro area with the 1200+ Christian churches, SPN is working to cultivate those relationships and communicate the stories of how God is using local churches to make a direct impact on their community schools.

You could be our Featured Sponsor this month & promote your organization here on our website, in the email invitations that are sent out to 1400+ marketplace leaders for this meeting & for 15 minutes during the meeting, in exchange for supporting the Christian Chamber with $250 for Members ($350 for Guests & Non-Members).  If you are interested in this promotional opportunity for access to new customers and clients, just let us know!

This "Lunch & Learn" meeting is designed for connecting, wherein you are invited to introduce yourself & your organization to other members & guests before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber during lunch, as well as a special guest speaker in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
