Event Description:
Leadership based on telling is inefficient, ineffective, and ultimately unfruitful. Leadership that creates true motivation and extraordinary results is based on asking, listening and guiding – the core skills of a coach. Come learn how you can begin using the skills of a coach to promote organizational health and re-humanize your workplace.

Our special guest speaker for January is Chad Hall, MCC sharing about "Coaching Essentials for Today's Leaders." Chad coaches leaders, teams and organizations to make the most of their potential and move to higher stages of effectiveness. Chad’s specialty is partnering with clients to create authentic strengths-based success from the inside out. He helps clients clarify who they are, what they want to achieve, and how they can achieve their goals in ways that fit their true values.
Chad’s decade-long career as an executive coach has bridged both ministry and marketplace. He began coaching in the late 1990’s while serving as a team leader with the NC Baptist Convention, a regional denomination with over 4,000 churches and 1.2 million members. He also served as a coach with business intelligence leader SAS Institute. While at SAS, Chad coached top-level executives and teams and also provided customer-facing presentations on what helped SAS consistently garner by FORTUNE magazine’s honor as the best company to work in America. In 2009, Chad joined Western Seminary as the Director of Coaching where he leads a team of coaching faculty to provide world-class coach training for ministers, marketplace leaders and coaching practitioners.
Chad is the co-author of two books related to coaching, Coaching for Christian Leaders: A Practical Guide, and Faith Coaching: A Conversational Approach to Helping Others Move Forward in Faith. He has also contributed numerous articles to Leadership Journal and Christianity Today and has been interviewed by Fast Company, The Charlotte Observer and the Raleigh News and Observer.
Chad is co-founder and President of Coach Approach Ministries, a ministry focused on helping churches and ministry leaders succeed through coaching, coach training, and leadership development. He is also a Partner with Internal Impact, LLC, which provides coaching, coach training, leadership and team development to companies such as IBM, Babcock & Wilcox, Schneider Electric, and Hyatt. Chad also is recognized as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) by the International Coach Federation, and holds graduate degrees from Duke University and Princeton Seminary.
