Event Description:
Our special guest speaker for July is Stephen Custer, Life Center Coordinator at Broadway Commons, an innovative and unique ministry of Salem Alliance Church. The Life Center provides Adult Education classes and training to help people live and work in our community. From English as a second language Employment Network to help people with work and interview skills. “It’s a place for people from all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures to come and learn skills in one of our Learning Communities.” It’s a place were encouraging friendships blossom, abilities are strengthened, and hope for a productive abundant life in Jesus is realized.
Stephen is in his third year with Broadway Life Center. He has lived in Mexico for two years, after graduating from Wheaton College, and is fluent in Spanish. He has worked at several jobs in Salem, since returning, including office manager for Abbey Carpet Care and Associate Director of Music for St. Paul’s. Episcopal Church, Salem. He lives in Salem with his wife, Kari, and their new baby born in March.

We are meeting at the Broadway Commons located at 1300 Broadway NE, Salem, OR 97301.
Date/Time Information:
Check in starts at 7:15am, followed by connecting until 7:45am. Then we ask everyone to introduce themselves, followed by a short presentation about the Christian Chamber, wherein we then have our featured speaker from 8:15am-8:45am, followed by a few announcements and connecting until 9am.
