Event Description:
Within our Christian Chamber Northwest Code of Ethics is the statement, "I will consider my business a ministry to introduce people to Christ." How is that possible? How do you actually do something like that? What are the perspectives and tools that you need to be able to do this in a place of business & in the marketplace?
Our special guest facilitator is George La Du of Jubilee Christian Fellowship. George grew up in Portland and is third oldest of nine children. He, and his wife Randi, have passion for teaching and inspiring their family, friends, church members and business leaders to understand that they each have a divine destiny. George has been a pastor for 35+ years and they have been married for 40 years, have four grown children and three grandchildren. Together, they enjoy spending time at the beach, golfing and hanging out with their children.
George & Randi also share a passion to help “equip people for works of service” which includes helping them to discover the benefits and importance of maintaining and improving ones health. They desire to help people become aware of what it is like to experience a healthy and vital lifestyle. George has been teaching and sharing his heart’s passion for health and nutrition for over 25 years. They speak around the country on health and nutrition, because they love helping people get set free physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially! George has produced a 28 minute DVD and booklet entitled “The Five Systems of the Body”. The DVD and booklet teach how the five systems of the body work, thereby educating people on how to create new healthy habits in their pursuit of discovering and maintaining optimal health and vitality.
In 1999, George produced a booklet entitled “Peace in the Midst of the Storm,” which was a response to how people should respond in the event of global or local crisis, and led to Serving Our Neighbors (S.O.N.) being established. Also, George has written a booklet entitled “Marketplace Apostle” which helps pastors and lay people understand a very important calling in the Body of Christ and led to THE IDENTITY PROJECT, a work book (& video series) of 16 luncheons, which helps to disciple all those who are thirsty for more of God). THE IDENTITY PROJECT (or TIP) is designed to help people discover their own unique make-up, gifts and grace, and to grow up into the sons of God, our heavenly Father desires.
