Event Description:
Our special guest speaker for July is Paul Watson, Director for Cityteam International’s recovery center in Portland, will outline his agency’s innovative outreach efforts and how they are applicable to local businesses and ministries. Watson split his childhood between Hong Kong, Malaysia, India and Singapore while his parents planted churches as career missionaries for the Southern Baptist Convention. Watson earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature at the University of North Texas and minored in business administration.
In 2007, through Cityteam, Watson started training and coaching church planters and church planting organizations worldwide. In 2010, he traveled 75,000 miles and trained people in the UK, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Lebanon, Egypt, Germany, and in many states in the USA. In 2011, Paul traveled 85,000 miles. Watson last year moved to Portland to take his current position. Cityteam Portland provides 72,000 meals a year. It helps, on average, 84 people per night, 365 days per year, to receive a shower, clean clothing and a safe place to sleep. Watson and his team seek to meet the physical needs of the homeless, addicted and alcoholic while seeking to catalyze disciple-making movements in the Northwest. Watson and his wife, Christi, have three children and live in Beaverton.

We meet in one of the Conference Rooms of the Education Center at Adventist Health, located at 10123 SE Market St, Portland, OR 97216
Date/Time Information:
Check in starts at 7:15am, followed by connecting until 7:45am. Then we ask everyone to introduce themselves, followed by a short presentation about the Christian Chamber, wherein we then have our featured speaker from 8:15am-8:45am, followed by a few announcements and connecting until 9am.

There is a $5 Suggested Donation for Guests & Expired Members. Members must RSVP in order to register at no charge. Members may also invite Guests, wherein the Suggested Donation for their Guest is $5 per person.
