Event Description:

Teen are increasingly being cut off from adult influence and it is clear that this is hurting teens but it is also hurting adults.  Let's explore the importance of connecting with kids in our homes, neighborhoods, churches & the marketplace and share methods to build rapport & keys to reducing risks in any relationship.

Our special guest speaker is Chuck Hagele with Project Patch, which has been working with at-risk teens and their families since 1984.  During that time, they have discovered key principles for helping teens become great adults even if their childhood has challenges.  They focus on strong relationships and  clear expectations.  They encourage rapport, effective communication, experiential learning and depending on Christ  in all things.

Chuck Hagele been a public speaker for over 20 years and presents in a number of formats including sermons, keynotes, seminars, breakouts and interviews.  He has been featured on local and national radio and television shows including an appearance on the Dr. Phil Show.  He regularly writes articles and creates podcasts for Today's Family Experience as well as contributes to other programs that help teens and families.

He has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 21 years.  They have two daughters and a son.  Their family has experienced the beauty and challenges of adoption and raising a special needs child.  They live in Vancouver, Washington.  Chuck enjoys triathlons, running, reading, fly-fishing and food.

This meeting is designed to help you build your network, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker or engaging discussion in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
