Have you experienced setbacks and wished you could turn back the hands of time? Do you sometimes struggle with regret? Good news: one simple step will empower you to think more clearly and take back your home and workplace. That one act: forgive yourself.
Our special guest speaker is Lynn Hare of Telios Systems Company, a software development business in SE Portland. Lynn, award-winning author and certified teacher, will lead an interactive discussion with fresh insights on Biblical principles and practical strategies for self-forgiveness.
When her son, Ben, was an infant, Lynn wrapped her car around a light pole, causing him a head injury. For over twenty years, she wrestled with guilt and condemnation. Learn practical steps she took to resolve tough emotions.
How does self-acceptance generate more productivity and enable you to serve your customers more efficiently? What strategies have you found successful in dealing with your inner critic? How does your self-talk set the pace for dialogues with others on the job? Bring stories and practical tips you’ve learned for self-acceptance, and be ready to help the rest of us can grow. Get strengthened, refreshed, and equipped to lead a lifestyle extending grace and forgiveness to all—beginning with yourself.
Lynn Hare, who serves on the Chamber’s prayer team, has prayed one-on-one with thousands of people. Her passion is activating awareness of identity in Christ and the explosive freedom found in forgiveness. Lynn has published devotions, articles, and poetry in numerous Christian periodicals, and is on the leadership team for Oregon Christian Writers. She serves on multiple intercessory teams in the Portland metro area, where she lives with her husband, Tim, of thirty-five years. They have three adult children and two precious grandchildren. She enjoys writing songs based on Scripture and dabbling in amateur photography.
This meeting is designed to help you build your network, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker or engaging discussion in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community. After the meeting, we will pray for any pain in your body or business & let the Holy Spirit minister healing & restoration.
