What does it mean to be teachable? Are you teachable? What keeps you from being teachable? How can leaders grow in their teachablity index? From five years of study on being teachableness, Dr. Calvin Habig has distilled both the good and the bad: what can keep us from being teachable as leaders as well as what we can do to reach our goals by being more teachable.
We will examine:
- The importance of being teachable through all of life.
- Some barriers that keep us from being fully teachable.
- Ten Ways to Increase Your Teachability.
Dr. Calvin (Cal) Habig is a professional coach, certified by the International Coach Federation, who helps leaders of small businesses and non-profit organizations to develop strategies, structures and skill that increase their bottom line.
After 30 years in the non-profit world he began a journey of personal growth, self-revelation and of learning to understand others, that continues to this day. The results of much of that growth is chronicled in his recently released book, "The Teachable Journey."
Cal will share with us reflections drawn from one of the chapters in his book: "Seven Ways to Make Yourself More Teachable."
