Event Description:
Our special guest speaker for March is Dave Adams, the new owners of KLYC 1260 AM Radio in McMinnville. Dave and Norma purchased KLYC last year, bringing back to the airwaves a popular longtime local radio station that had been off the air for several months due to financial challenges experienced by the previous owner. They will outline why they believe that their purchase of the station happened in God’s timing and how they have been called and equipped for what they believe is exciting work. Dave Adams has been in radio since his senior year in high school in 1978. He has an extensive radio background as a disc jockey, news reporter, news director, talk show host and station engineer. He previously worked at Idaho stations KBOI in Boise and KYET in Payette; Oregon radio stations KSRV in Ontario, KMCQ in The Dalles, KBND in Bend and KGAL/KSHO in Lebanon; and at Sunny FM in Nelson, New Zealand. Norma has a background as a church musician and, since 1980, as a legal assistant in various law offices; she has worked since 2009 in estate planning with a McMinnville lawfirm. She also previously worked as a school bus driver for Santiam Christian Schools in Corvallis.

Check in starts at 7:15am, followed by connecting until 7:45am. Then we ask everyone to introduce themselves, followed by a short presentation about the Christian Chamber, wherein we then have our featured speaker from 8:15am-8:45am, followed by a few announcements and connecting until 9am.
