"Most people try to avoid conflict with others. But when it happens to Christian leaders, conflict can be turned into an opportunity to advance the Kingdom of Christ," says Doug Marshall. The key is becoming good stewards of such opportunities.

Our speaker guest speaker for January is Doug Marshall, a certified Christian conciliator and also a mediator with Bridge Builders Christian Resources in Beaverton. Doug will outline practical principles and steps to address conflict in churches, marriages, families, missions, Christian non-profits, and anywhere Christians find themselves in conflict. He is professionally trained in mediation and conflict resolution through Clackamas County Resolution Services and received his certification as a conciliator through Peacemaker Ministries. He has practiced mediation and conflict resolution in numerous professional and relational contexts. Marshall has also been an ordained pastor for 34 years and is currently the lead pastor at Valley Christian Church in Wilsonville. He did his undergraduate work in Biblical studies and preaching at Puget Sound Christian College in Washington and earned a master’s degree in theology/philosophy from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Illinois.
