Christian Chamber - Mid-Willamette Valley Meeting
Our special guest speaker for March is Roland Sanchez, who was a nurse in Washington state when God led him to a different type of ministry. After working in a non-paid position at Faith Bible Fellowship in Spokane for several years, he went back to school. He earned his degree in ministry from The Master’s Seminary (John MacArthur) in Southern California and was hired as an associate pastor at Faith Bible Fellowship. Earlier this year, he was hired as the lead pastor at Grace Bible Fellowship in Tangent. “The church really needed a lead pastor and I felt called to this church,” Sanchez said. “It was really the Lord who brought us here.” Now Sanchez and his family (wife LaNae & their five children ranging in age from 4 to 13.) are just getting to know the church and the area. His three older children are biological and his twin 4-year-old girls were adopted from the Philippines. They are deaf and arrived in the Sanchez household with no language skills. “My wife was a sign language interpreter so we had no problems with adopting the girls,” he said. Roland was born in the Philippines and has always wanted to adopt a child from there. Eventually he wants to look into serving as a medical missionary and integrate both his nursing and ministry training, but for right now he is glad to be with Grace Bible Fellowship.
