Christian Chamber - Mid-Willamette Valley Meeting
Our guest speaker for January is Tad Davies, a former IRS senior agent and retired CPA, who operated his firm, T.A. Davies and Company until 2008, wherein he sold his successful practice to a local company in Albany. While with the IRS, Davies rose to the position of senior revenue agent and was detailed to many special projects. Those projects included being an on- the-job instructor, classroom instructor, instructor for the IRS Western Region, acting managerial assignments and liaison with the state of Oregon for tax shelter programs. He attended Oregon State University while working as an IRS employee and received his MBA in June of 1978. While attending OSU, he taught principles of accounting classes at the school. Davies has earned a reputation for working with many local groups and serving on boards for the Albany Public Schools Foundation, the Albany General Hospital Foundation, the Oregon State University Alumni Association, the Oregon State University Foundation Board of Governors, just to name a few. Tad Davies lives in Albany with his wife Lynne who is a retired public school teacher. He now operates as a consultant and enjoys making presentations for local non-profit organizations.
This meeting is designed to help you build your network, wherein you will be invited to introduce yourself & your organization during the meeting, as well as meet with other guests & members before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
