Name: Christian Chamber - Greater Salem/Keizer "Lunch & Learn"
Date: May 13, 2015
Time: 11:30 AM - 1:15 PM PDT
Registration: Sorry, public registration for this event has been closed.
Event Description:
Religious Freedom for Business Owners?  WOW, based upon the very engaging discussions at our last meeting on April 22nd, you're invited to join us for the Expanded Presentation with Q&A!  You must be prepared for doing business in our changing society & culture and be ready to face the consequences of making Right and Biblical decisions.

Our speaker this month is Carl Cramer, a local lawyer and small business owner who has recently stepped in to a larger role in organizing our Salem/Keizer "Coffee Discussions".  Carl will go over some of the legal issues surrounding the recent legal battles of religious liberty for employers, and will then engage the group in a discussion about how a business owner can best respond to situations where they are requested to do something.  A firm believer in the rights of business owners, Carl will explore what business owners are legally allowed to do, what they should be legally allowed to do, and most importantly, what is the appropriate response from a spiritual (not legal) perspective.

Carl Cramer is a graduate from Willamette University (class of 2008) and Willamette Law School (2013).  After being raised in Beaverton, Carl moved to Salem to attend Willamette in 2004.  While leading Young Life, he met his wife Mandy, and they got married and made their home in the Salem/Keizer area.  They are the proud parents of two young boys, Luke and Caleb.

Carl worked in insurance defense work for eight months after passing the bar exam before setting up his own firm, where he focuses his practice primarily on estate planning and landlord issues.  He also practices in a broad range of other legal areas, helping his clients resolve their legal disputes in ways that minimize rather than inflame personal conflicts.
