Time: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM PST

Event Description:

Join us for this year's Holiday themed "Lunch & Learn" for more fellowship around the tables, singing carols and celebrating Christmas together.

Our special guest musicians will be Dan & Georgene Rice, who
have performed gospel music together for more than 30 years.  Native Oregonians, the Rices have ministered throughout the Pacific Northwest, in Canada, Europe, and Africa.  Georgene is a featured soloist in the Portland Singing Christmas Tree and as itinerant worship leaders, she and Dan, consult and train local worship musicians.  They have been married for 31 years, and in 1998, the Rice’s produced Georgene’s latest CD “A Servant’s Prayer.  For the past 20 years, she has also been the host of the The Georgene Rice Show on KPDQ 93.9 FM.

Our special guest speaker for December will be
Larry Whittlesey, a longtime pastor and community organizer in the Northwest.  Larry currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Christian Chamber of Commerce Northwest and besides his role in a local church, Larry has helped lead numerous ministry efforts, outreach events, pastor networks and volunteer efforts.

For 5 years, Larry served as a National Event Director for Promise Keepers, orchestrating large men’s conferences in arenas like the Rose Garden all over the country.  Most recently he has been serving as the Executive Director of the
School Partnership Network  (SPN), an initiative of the Luis Palau Association’s City Serve (formerly “Season of Service”).  Since it started in March 2012, SPN has worked to cultivate meaningful and sustainable partnerships between local faith communities and area public schools.  As of November 2013, they have been able to document such partnerships in 250 of the 471 schools in the greater metro area  (29 School Districts).

Currently, Larry is transitioning into his new position as the Executive Director of National Mission Advancement for the YMCA.  While his ongoing role at the Palau Association and SPN is still be determined,  Larry will be working to help restore the “C”  in YMCA across the nation.  He will be do this by leading national and regional conferences, incorporating YMCA’s rich Christian heritage into the regular program of local Y’s, and working to train YMCA staff and leadership nationwide, including  a growing representation of chaplains.  Larry has been married to his wife, Chris, for 37 years and has 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.  Larry and Chris live in the Parkrose area of Portland, near Crossroads Church, where he served as a pastor for a number of years.

At the rate technology evolves, it’s difficult for any business to choose a course when it comes to mobile apps, e-commerce and the latest web development and data integration trends for businesses. Working with a business consulting firm whose focus is on this ever changing environment will mean the difference between seizing opportunity or missing out on it.  When data, resources and other business assets can’t be leveraged to help your organization achieve its goals, you’re faced with an opportunity gap. That gap can slow you down, or worse bring your business to a grinding halt while competitors and the market pass you by. Agile Business Services empowers organizations to seize opportunity by bridging the Innovation Opportunity Gap®. Agile’s team of consulting professionals will partner with you to create a competitive advantage by developing solutions to help your business thrive. Agile doesn’t focus on using technology because it’s new. Our goal is to use technologies to create new opportunities. When that type of innovation happens, moving forward is easier and goals are achieved.

You could be our Featured Sponsor next month & promote your organization here on our website, in the email invitations that are sent out to 3800+ marketplace leaders for this meeting & for 15 minutes during the meeting, in exchange for supporting the Christian Chamber with $250 for Members ($350 for Guests & Non-Members).  If you are interested in this promotional opportunity for access to new customers and clients, just let us know!

This "Lunch & Learn" meeting is designed for connecting, wherein you are invited to introduce yourself & your organization to other members & guests before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.
