Please note: For this month ONLY, we will be meeting at New Beginnings Christian Center is partnership with the Nehemiah Week 2012 - Biblical Entrepreneurship Conference.

Our special guest speaker for September is Lawrence Drake, Chairman and Chief Executive of Hope 360° "Helping Other People Excel!", who is also a guest of the Nehemiah Week 2012 - Biblical Entrepreneurship Conference.
Mr Drake's firm provides career and life management services, organizational effectiveness, and on-line digital advice and consultation to individuals, physicians’ government/educational institutions, corporations and small businesses. He recently served as interim President/ CEO of the Executive Leadership Council. Prior to that role Mr. Drake served as Secretary of The Council’s Board of Directors and Chair of its Governance Committee. He is a certified consultant for Personnel Decisions International (PDI) and is a partner of AJIA Capital Holdings LLC, a New York based international investment firm.
Mr. Drake retired from The Coca-Cola Company after a distinguished 21year career, which included his final appointment as Managing Director, President/CEO, of The Nigeria and Equatorial Africa Division of Coca-Cola Africa a subsidiary of The Coca- Cola Company. Mr. Drake ‘s Division was part of Coca-Cola’s $4B enterprise residing in the 56 countries that encompass the continent of Africa. The Coca-Cola Company does business in over 200 countries around the world and derives better that 70% of its operating income outside of the United States.
During a corporate career that spans over 30 years, Mr. Drake has served in a variety of senior level positions with firms such as The Coca-Cola Company, PepsiCo, Cablevision Systems Corporation, and Kraft Inc including appointments or project assignments throughout the US, Africa, Europe and Latin America. He also has played a role in creating and bringing several start-ups or mid-stage entrepreneurial companies to market, most recently Haven Media Group LLC, and Dolman Technologies, where he was an investor and served as President/CEO and Executive Vice- President/COO respectively.
He serves or has served on the Boards and executive committees of numerous business, education and community organizations including, The National Conference for Community Justice, The California Science Center, Crystal Stairs Inc, Board Chair, LEAD (Leadership, Education and Development), Trustee of Jarvis Christian College and President, Vine & Oak Foundation, North America.
He began his undergraduate education at Fisk University where he studied classical vocals, but ultimately received his BA in Sociology and Business from Georgia State University and an MBA from RockHurst University where he served as an Executive Fellow. He is currently a doctoral student at Fielding Graduate University. He and his wife Janice reside in Atlanta are the parents of four adult children.
This "Lunch & Learn" meeting is designed for connecting, wherein you are invited to introduce yourself & your organization to other members & guests before & after the meeting. There will also be a short presentation regarding the Chamber, as well as a special guest speaker in regards to a topic designed to help you Connect, Learn, Grow, Save &/or Engage with your community.

We will be meeting in partnership with one of our Founders, NPIM's Nehemiah Week 2012 at New Beginnings Christian Center, located at 3300 NE 172nd Place, Portland, OR 97230.
Date/Time Information:
Check in starts at 11:30am, followed by connecting until 11:45am, wherein lunch is served at 12noon. Then after a short presentation about the Christian Chamber, we will feature one of our non-profit members, followed by a special guest speaker from 12:30pm-1:15pm, ending with a few announcements and connecting until 1:30pm.

Fees/Admission:
The RSVP meal charge is $20 for Guests, Expired Members. The Non-RSVP meal charge is $25 at the Door. If they RSVP, current Members have access at no charge. Members may also invite Guests, wherein if they RSVP, the meal charge is only $20 per person. If they do not RSVP for their Guest, the meal charge for their Guest is $25 per person.
