Event Description:

Our special guest speaker for September is Ramona Mathany, owner of All Star Labor & Staffing.  Several years ago, God planted a vision in her heart and mind – a vision of a staffing agency that would enhance the lives of its employees and serve its clients with integrity.  She chose to partner with God on this endeavor, and that vision became All Star Labor & Staffing.  Since then, Ramona has seen God intervene time and time again to bring All Star to where it is today.  Ramona’s vision combined with her experience helping other companies succeed has evolved into a successful, respected staffing agency.

When Ramona began volunteering in the women’s prison system eight years ago, she saw a need she believed she could help meet.  When incarcerated individuals were released to start a new life, they were met with many challenges.  Their prior incarceration not only presented social and financial challenges, but also became a significant barrier to the very thing that could improve their situation – entry into the job market.  Many received little or no exit counseling or connection to resources.  This had a cyclical effect of hindering their ability to find work and increasing the rate of recidivism.  Ramona has a heart for this population, and she wanted to help them overcome the employment hurdle and avoid the “revolving door” of incarceration.  She made it her mission to seek out companies who were willing to partner with her to give those with a history of incarceration a second opportunity for success.  A significant portion of All Star’s employees have backgrounds, but are committed to living a new life.

Ramona Mathany was born in the Bahamas, and moved to Oregon at the age of five.  She graduated from the University of Portland with a degree in social work in 1992, and has never had any formal business training.  In 1993, Ramona committed her life to Jesus at a Billy Graham crusade.  She now lives in Lake Oswego with her husband Jim and their four children – Leslie, Mark, Matthew and AJ.  Ramona and her husband have been in the PEO business for 16 years, providing small businesses with payroll, HR, worker’s compensation and administrative services.  In 1997, they founded their own business, All PEO.  Thanks to a combination of God’s grace and a lot of hard work, All PEO and the Mathanys’ second PEO business, American Admin, made it through the recession and are currently thriving.  They even managed to open All Star Labor & Staffing, a recruiting and employment agency, in the thick of the recession in 2009.  All Star is now enhancing the lives of its employees by helping them build their careers, while serving its clients with integrity.

“…I am growing in a more intimate relationship with the Father over the last year.  I hear a lot of people talk about growing in intimacy with the Father; however, I feel that this material is the only thing I have seen that actually tells the truth about this process.  I need to facilitate others getting this material (THE IDENTITY PROJECT by George La Du) and hosting groups like the one I attended at Sterling.”  Dan Quatier, CEO, Interior Tech Company

“My time with George these past few years has been invaluable, shifting my mindset and allowing me to step confidently into the identity and destiny God has created for me as a son of the Most High King.”  Tom Gillihan, President, Sterling Communications

“For me, going through THE IDENTITY PROJECT with George in a group setting, helped me better understand where I needed to put my time and energy to have the best results in God’s Kingdom.  Are you in the right place on the bus?  If you don’t know, you need to invest some time with George and discover your place on the bus of God’s Kingdom.”  Steve Harpham, CFP, Living Water Financial

What would it be like to attend a series of weekly luncheons that would provide a small group context where trust and relationship is established and you learn and actively walk out how to touch heaven and change earth?  Would you like to hear God more clearly, purely and therefore embrace the best business coach available?  Would your life change, if you were growing more intimate with your heavenly Father day by day and following His instructions in the business world and life?  If you want to grow in a “kingdom mindset” and walk in the “greater works” Jesus promised, come join us for one of The Identity Project Luncheons starting in October, 2014.  Each catered luncheon series is from 16 weeks from 12:00pm – 1:30pm on various days of the week.  We expect to host them in the Pearl, Vancouver and Lake Oswego starting this October.  The cost is only $200 per month for four months.  Scholarships are available, so finances should not be the reason for going to a new level with God and a great team of like-minded businesspeople.  There are luncheons for both businessmen and businesswomen.  Call George La Du at 503-544-6166 or Michelle Blacksher at 503-504-7052.
