Event Description:

Connectorship: How to Reach, Teach, and Lead in a Overwhelmed World

Relationship and communication are essential to success, and we know that technology is an essential element of doing business. This is nothing new.

What is new, however, is the unprecedented rate and scale of change happening in the world right now. Our prospects and customers are experiencing deficits in attention, meaning, and trust. And we ourselves are overwhelmed with hundreds of options for how to cut through the noise and grow our organizations.

The good news is the authentic business relationships and using technology don’t have to be at odds with each other and it’s not about “doing Twitter.” More importantly, ministry-minded businesspeople can extend their impact without adding more projects to their plates.

Join author and speaker Roger Courville for an interactive presentation to learn:

  • 2 trends that are changing everything and why strategies from a few years ago aren’t working anymore
  • What’s wrong with webinars, social media, and online training – and how to avoid others’ mistakes
  • 4 principles that will transform how you approach using technology for business growth
  • 3 impact actions to take before your next meeting

Roger Courville is a multi-book author, webinar expert, and an internationally sought-after speaker on how to create authentic connections with remote audiences. By night he volunteers as the President of National Speakers Association of Oregon, as a taxi driver for his three kids, and as a guitarist for any band unlucky enough to ask. See his full curriculum vitae or learn more about connectorship.

Why we exist . . . to "work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you . . . Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare.”  Jeremiah 29:7

We are committed to . . .
  • Connecting our community with ongoing intentional prayer
  • Educating our community to pray at home, with their neighbors, in their workplace / ministry and at their school
  • Engaging with the seeds of transformation that have been planted for years
What we do . . . promote prayer and service opportunities for Believers to engage through the National Day of Prayer, Palau's CityServe, National Night Out, Sister City organizations, emergency preparedness, neighborhood associations and much, much more.

Who we serve . . . pastors, ministry leaders and marketplace/community leaders who want to see God's Kingdom established in every facet of society.

Who we are . . . SON was launched in January of 1999, by a group of concerned local Church Pastors, Ministry & Workplace Leaders that wanted to respond to the Y2K transition with a united balance strategy of Prayer and Service.   After Y2K & 9/11, SON developed key Partnerships to encourage believers to participate in . . .
  • Prayer opportunities focused on our community National Day of Prayer, Global Day of Prayer, See You At The Pole, Portland Again, 10 Days & SEVEN
  • Service opportunities with the Portland Police Department & Community Care Days at Portland's Public Schools
  • In 2006, SON partnered with the Portland Office of Emergency Management and became a part of the Portland Citizen Corps Council
  • In 2007, SON hosted a series of three Greater Portland Prayer Coalition Gatherings and partnered with the Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement and Reaching America (wherein churches can make contact with new neighbors each month)
  • In 2008, SON provided extensive prayer coverage for Portland CityFest & its Season of Service and developed the infrastructure for Believers to begin to connect with ongoing community-wide Prayer Campaigns & Service Campaigns that are currently being conducted by established community-service organizations.
For the past 6 years, SON has been investing in the sustainability of the Christian Chamber of Commerce of the Northwest, helped establish the Marketplace Summit to collaborate with other marketplace ministries & utilized media to help launch the Kingdom Business Forum to air on "The Truth" KKPZ 1330 AM, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube.

You could be our Featured Sponsor & promote your organization here on our website, in the email invitations that are sent out to 4500+ marketplace leaders for this meeting & for 15 minutes during the meeting, in exchange for supporting the Christian Chamber with $250 for Members ($350 for Guests & Non-Members).  If you are interested in this promotional opportunity for access to new customers and clients, just let us know!
