Event Description:
Our special guest speaker for November is Victor Kuhns, founder of the Albany-based Vets Helping Vets HQ, a non-profit group made up of military veterans and their families who help other veterans negotiate their way through the Veteran's Affairs system. Victor will be talking about how finding God changed his life and led to starting a unique organization, now helping veterans around the world. He served in the United States Marines from 1967 through 1970 and saw duty in Vietnam. After his service, he worked for a while with Boeing before quitting his job to attend a seminary school in Texas. After two years, he went out on his own to spread the Gospel, but lost his way and started drinking. He became an alcoholic until, one day, he asked his daughter what she would think if he were to suddenly stop drinking. Finding his way through life again, Victor thought he would like to help other veterans who were having trouble getting VA benefits. That was the start of something, which has helped hundreds of veterans who had thought there was no one to help them with their service related claims.

Fees/Admission:
The RSVP meal charge is $15 for Guests, Expired Members. The Non-RSVP meal charge is $20 at the Door. Members must RSVP in order to register at no charge. Members may also invite Guests, wherein if they RSVP, the meal charge is only $15 per person. If they do not RSVP for their Guest, the meal charge for their Guest is $20 per person.
