What place does the Sabbath have in a Christian business? How can we have a Sabbath without slipping into stifling legalism?
Our special guest speaker is John Avery & he will help us see the Sabbath in the light of the freedom from legalism that Jesus provided. Far from dismissing the Sabbath, John will present compelling positive reasons for incorporating the underlying principles of Sabbath in our personal and business lives. Come and find out how the Sabbath can make your business more influential for the kingdom of God.
John Avery is the author of The Name Quest – explore the names of God to grow in faith and get to know Him better (Morgan James Publishing, 2014). He and his wife, Janet, make their home in Oregon and own a painting company. John is a trained teacher with over thirty years experience as a Bible teaching pastor, small group leader, and missionary. He has lived in England, Israel, Africa, and the Caribbean, ministering with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and local churches. John likes to hike, snowshoe, and cross country ski. John writes regular Bible devotionals on www.BibleMaturity.com one of which won the Oregon Christian Writers’ Cascade Award for published devotionals. Check in starts at 11:30am, followed by connecting until 11:45am. After everyone introduces themselves, we have our Featured Sponsor, some information about your Christian Chamber and then our Featured Presentation from 12:20pm-12:50pm, followed by a few announcements and connecting until 1pm.

Fees/Admission:
The RSVP meal charge is $15 for Guests, Expired Members. The Non-RSVP meal charge is $20 at the Door. Members must RSVP in order to register at no charge. Members may also invite Guests, wherein if they RSVP, the meal charge is only $15 per person. If they do not RSVP for their Guest, the meal charge for their Guest is $20 per person.
